| The main focus of our breeding program here at Klatolklin/Lytle's K9 is to produce extremely high quality working dogs. Service dogs that have a natural hunt instinct, natural aggression to a threat, fast to mature and slow to age. A healthy and mentally stable line that works in very high prey and civil drives. On top of all the working traits that must be present, we want our breeding stock to fit within the breed standards for working structure as well. When Axel was placed for sale, I knew the value he would add to our breeding program immediately. In fact, I had read several post about the breeding that produced Axel. I had heard of the extremely high drive that most of the litter had. I knew that three of his littermates were active service dogs. Few litters have been produced where that many littermates became working police dogs. On top of that, most of them were on duty before the age of 14 months. I want to thank Chris and Michelle for selling him to us. Axel is a medium sized male, ideal for service work. Today way too often we see German Shepherds that are too large to do good service work. Large dogs break down faster and are not as agile as the dogs that are within the standard. The maximum a GSD male is suppose to weigh is 88 pounds. All breeders seeking to improve the breed work hard to keep the dogs in the breed standards. Axel's sire is (CJ) Cejlon z Hundorfu, SchH3, DPO-2, PSP-1, Cert. Narc. Police K9 until almost 11 years of age. CJ represented the USA in the 1999 German Bundessieger Police Dog Championships. CJ has only had a few breedings but produced extremely high drive dogs that thrive in police work. To our knowledge, Axel is the only CJ son titled to SchH3. CJ most certainly inherited this great ability to produce working dogs from his sire, Eron Mat-Roz who is well known worldwide as a top producer in the Czech Republic. Eron was also a great Schutzhund competitor. Eron's sister Erika Mat-Roz was the 1997 FCI WORLD CHAMPION. These dogs are what breeders call producers of producers. These are the types of dogs that advance the working abilities of the breed as their offspring carry on the needed working traits generation after generation. Axel's dam, Setty vom Leerburg is from the very popular Leerburg Kennels of Wisconsin. Leerburg has become one of the premier GSD kennels in the United States for their production of police service dogs. Setty is linebred 4,5- 3,5 V Greif zum Lahntal. Greif is was known for producing extremely serious dogs and is in a huge number of working dog pedigree's. While Rolling Acres Shepherds had many good bitches, Setty was the bitch that produced the best for them. Setty's sire is dual certified police/border patrol K9, Otis vom Jacobiner Schloß. His sister, Olive competed 5 times in the Bundessieger Prufung. This is a huge accomplishment expecially for a bitch. Otis was obtained by Leerburg Kennels and immediately utilized in their breeding program. Otis was a son of one of the best working dog producers of the modern era, Mink vom Haus Wittfeld. Mink was a dog that had a very high working drive and is known today for producing a dog that most consider a REAL working dog. A REAL dog is one that does not play a game but takes protection work very seriously. These are the dogs that are needed for REAL life and death situations. So, Axel is a combination of two great lines of producers. Producers of both world class sport dogs but most importantly police service dogs. In today world, dogs like Axel need to be bred and that is exactly our intent. We will utilize these vital bloodlines to the utmost. We are putting together a stable of super bitches and now with Axel's blood great puppies will find their way into other breeding programs and service programs. We expect Axel to produce just as his pedigree would suggest, SUPER!!! We might also add that Leerburg Kennels is using a CJ son for their breeding program. Leerburg has produced over 350 German Shepherd litters and they are not using a CJ son by accident. This blood represents the absolute best you can find for the working German Shepherd. If you are serious about wanting a great working German Shepherd puppy or want to produce a super litter, add this blood into your breeding program. Starting in 2007, we will always have Axel puppies available or planned. Please look at our Current litters page or our Upcoming litters page for more details of when you can get an Axel puppy from one of our super bitches. For those interested in breeding their bitch to Axel, the first step is to contact us with information about your bitch. You need to do this ahead of time and preferably not when she is in heat. We will need at least a three generation pedigree of your bitch. We will also need a picture of the bitch and a copy of her hip certification. Your bitch needs to be a minimum of 20 months of age at the time you expect to breed her. Before the bitch will be accepted for breeding to Axel, she must have a current NEGATIVE brucellosis test done. She must also be of sound character and not have any disqualifying faults. A stud fee of $1000 USD is due before a mating will take place. With this, we guarantee a litter of puppies. If your bitch fails to whelp a litter of pups, you may have her rebred for free at her next heat cycle.
