How to order portraits
1) Select which photos to send. The quality of the photos is important in capturing the subject. Since my portraits are very realistic, I need clear and detailed photographs to obtain the best likeness of the subject being painted.
2) Contact me, and we will discuss your vision for the portrait. We will discuss the pose, setting, background, and other features of your portrait.
3) Send the deposit and photos. Upon your satisfaction with the design, and after any final negotiations are agreed upon, one-third of the agreed price will be due as a non-refundable deposit of me to continue with the painting. You can send the deposit along with your photos. If the photo is a studio photo, I will need written permission to use it from the photographer.
4) View the portrait. I'll send you a sketch if necessary and later a photo of the painting for your approval, at which times we could discuss any possible adjustments. Your complete satisfaction is guaranteed!
5) Send the remaining balance and receive your painting Upon receipt of your final payment, I will ship the painting to you as well as any original photos that you may have sent.

Travel expenses/ work done outside the artist's studio will be in addition to portrait cost and included when the portrait is completed. If a photograph showing exactly what you desire as far as a position, background, etc. is provided, travel may not be required. If there is more than one client in an area, the travel cost may be shared by the different clients. I prefer to do my own photography but a number of snap shots and studio portraits are of great value in getting an exact likeness.
